The United Way of the Brown County Area is proud to offer an in-person tax preparation option to those in the Brown County Area. Our IRS certified volunteer preparers meet with taxpayers in the lower-level of the New Ulm Public Library. Appointments are available from February to mid-April by IRS Certified Preparers. This service is by appointment only during the tax season.
During the 2022 tax season our preparers completed 647 returns for residents across Brown County and southern Minnesota. Those taxpayers received an average return of $612.
If you would like to volunteer or learn more about becoming a tax preparer, please call our office at 507-354-6512.
*This service made possible through a grant provided by the State of Minnesota and program partner, Bank Midwest.
